The chairman of the opposition, Yair Lapid, strongly denounced today (Tuesday) Erdogan's statement that "Israel is a terrorist state that commits genocide. Hamas is a party that won the elections."

The message Lapid issued reads: "We will not take lessons in morality from President Erdogan, a man with a horrific record in all things related to human rights." According to him: "Israel is defending itself against brutal terrorists from the Hamas-ISIS organization, some of whom were allowed to operate under the roof of President Erdogan."

Earlier today the President of Turkey took up the issue of the fighting in Gaza and claimed that Israel is a terrorist state that commits genocide, we will act in the international arena to prevent it.

Lieberman: "Stop all activities of Turkish-sponsored associations"

The chairman of Israel Beitenu Avigdor Lieberman joined the criticism of the Turkish president. "Unfortunately, over the past few years, we have already known the laxity and inaction of senior Israeli officials towards Erdogan. But right now, even compared to recent history, the man has crossed all the red lines in his outbursts against the State of Israel, he noted.

According to Lieberman, "Therefore, what needs to be done is to summon the head of the Turkish embassy for a harsh reprimand, stop all the activities of the Turkish-sponsored associations in the Old City of Jerusalem, and activate all the Jewish organizations in the world against Erdogan."
