In Binyamin, two new lanes were opened today (Tuesday) for vehicles coming from the council's settlements towards Pisgat Ze'ev to the Hizma checkpoint. The head of the council Israel Gantz welcomed: "Another significant stone in the road revolution"

Significant relief for the motoring public with the opening of the two new lanes, the Binyamin Regional Council is updating that this week a lane will be opened in the opposite direction for those departing from Pisgat Ze'ev towards Almon (Anatot), in a way that will ease the traffic for passengers from Jerusalem towards the settlements of Binyamin.

Israel Gantz: "In 2024, a project will be completed that will allow a person to travel between Atarot (Almon) and 443"

The head of the Binyamin Council, Israel Gantz, welcomed the opening of the lanes: "All of us together are constantly trying and pushing to shorten the work schedule because we understand the predicament. Regulating the entrance area to Jerusalem is the first part of the work to expand the Sha'ar Binyamin - Jerusalem road. The tractors in the area are progressing at a good pace for the expansion of the road the whole."

It was also stated on his behalf that during the year 2024, the Qalandiya subsidence project will be completed, which will allow travel between Adam and Atarot and road 443. The opening of the subsidence will allow those coming from the settlements of east Binyamin to travel to road 443 without going through Jerusalem, which will save additional load on the main road on the way to Pisgat Ze'ev.

Council head Gantz also emphasizes that these days the planning for the expansion of Highway 60 is being complete, in the first phase from Binyamin Gate to the British Police intersection and at the beginning of 2024 the works from south to north will begin, that is, from Binyamin Gate towards the Michmash intersection and beyond.
