Minister of Health and Interior, Moshe Arbel, will make an official visit to the United States, during which he will address the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday morning Israel time. This will be the first time that an ultra-Orthodox minister speaks at the United Nations headquarters.
During the visit, for the first time since the establishment of the State of Israel, a joint proposal will be presented together with the Kingdom of Morocco to address the treatment and prevention of epidemics. Additionally, Minister Arbel is expected to hold a meeting with his American counterpart, Health Secretary Xavier Becerra. During the meeting, the two ministers are expected to sign a memorandum of understanding to strengthen cooperation between the countries in various fields.
Additionally, it has been reported that Arbel will also hold a meeting with the Health Secretary of the United Kingdom, Mr. Will Quince.
Earlier this morning (between Monday and Tuesday), Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu departed from San Jose Airport to New York in preparation for his speech on Friday afternoon at the United Nations General Assembly. During his stay, Netanyahu is expected to meet with the Presidents of the United States, Ukraine, and Turkey.
