The United Hatzalah of Israel branch in Uman concludes the holiday with a tragic case of a 55-year-old who died and another 1000 cases treated.

In a statement from Uman, it was stated: "So far, more than 1000 emergency cases and medical assistance received by the International Center of the Rescue Union from the city of Uman in Ukraine have been treated. Unfortunately, at the end of the resuscitation efforts, the death of a 55-year-old Israeli man who lost consciousness near the end of the holiday was pronounced dead.

Naftali Rabinowitz, operations commander of United Hatzalah in Uman, said: "At noon on the holiday, we were informed about a man who collapsed and lost consciousness. The medics and the Uman clinic team performed CPR on him, including giving him electric shocks in an attempt to save his life, but unfortunately they had to pronounce him dead. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: "During the day, an Israeli citizen in his 50s died during his stay in Uman, Ukraine. 250 were referred for further treatment at the clinic

Mats Shapira, head of the United Hatzalah branch in Uman, updates: "United Hatzalah ambulances will remain on standby until Yom Kippur with medics working in shifts around the clock. If necessary, United Hatzalah ambulances will direct those who need it to local hospitals."

David Salah, Deputy Director of the Operations Department of United Hatzalah, said: "The medical teams of United Hatzalah in Uman secure the safety of the thousands with round-the-clock shifts. So far United Hatzalah's ambulances have evacuated over 250 people who needed further medical assistance to the Uman clinic located at the entrance of The Central Beit-Knesset of the Union of Breslav in Uman compound."
