The royal aircraft of senior state officials, the Zion Wing aircraft, took off today for its first refresher flight in preparation for its first operational flight in about two months.
Even before the official announcement that the Zion Wing aircraft will fly for the first time on a full-state flight, when the Prime Minister will depart for his first visit to the United Arab Emirates during the Climate Conference taking place in November, the teams and pilots began preparing for the Prime Minister's first operational flight.
According to several reports, the aircraft team and flight crew accompanied Prime Minister Netanyahu's entourage during his diplomatic visit to Cyprus in order to learn about the conduct of diplomatic meetings and prepare for the upcoming flight. This flight will be Prime Minister Netanyahu's first flight to the United Arab Emirates since signing the Abraham Accords.
Another step in this process occurred today when the Prime Minister's aircraft took off for a test and evaluation flight to assess the plane's performance ahead of his first operational flight to the United Arab Emirates.
