This morning, the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) announced that its Personal Security Unit conducted a comprehensive and thorough investigation regarding the incident that occurred yesterday. An unusual confrontation was witnessed between the driver of the Minister of Transportation, Miri Regev, and the security guard of Minister Yoav Gallant. Among the recordings, Regev's voice can be heard demanding that the driver continue driving despite the security guards' insistence on stopping the vehicle. As part of the unit's investigation, testimonies from those present at the scene were also collected.

The investigation was presented to the head of the Shin Bet, Ronen Bar, and its findings were fully endorsed by him. The investigation's findings indicated that the security guards acted professionally, responsibly, and in accordance with the guidelines set for the unit. The head of the service commends the security guards for their actions. Furthermore, the investigation revealed that not one of the unit's employees physically pushed the minister, contrary to her claims. Additionally, it was found that the security guard sustained an injury to his leg due to the driver's failure to comply with security instructions.

It is emphasized that the entire incident could have been entirely avoided if the Minister of Transportation's driver had acted in accordance with security guidelines and identified himself as required, as was done with other ministers who attended the event and entered in accordance with security instructions without any incidents. Despite this, in practice, the driver, as an unidentified individual, forcibly breached a security checkpoint where a secured minister was located, and the security guard acted with restraint while exerting minimal force.

In summary, the findings of the investigation indicate that the security guard acted in a balanced and measured manner given the situation that unfolded at the scene. Additionally, he acted in accordance with the regulations, demonstrating professionalism and responsibility as expected and required of him.
