During the night (between Tuesday and Wednesday), shortly before midnight, a violent disturbance occurred involving hundreds of individuals who rampaged near an educational institution in the Ramat Bet neighborhood of Beit Shemesh. This took place while the city's mayor, Aliza Bloch, was present at the scene. Additionally, these agitators caused damage to Mayor Bloch's vehicle.

Police forces were summoned to the scene. During the violent disturbance, the agitators hurled stones at the police forces, resulting in an injury to a police officer who required medical treatment for minor injuries.

Additional police units that were dispatched to the area under the command of the Beit Shemesh station worked for an extended period to disperse the disorderly individuals, using force when necessary. They facilitated the departure of the city's mayor from the location unharmed.

The Minister of the Interior called to offer encouragement

Minister of the Interior Moshe Arbel contacted Bloch to offer encouragement: "Last night, I spoke with the Mayor of Beit Shemesh, Dr. Aliza Bloch, following the violent attack she experienced. Violence is a sickening evil that must be uprooted from its roots towards every individual and towards public officials. I expect the enforcement authorities to take immediate action to ensure the safety of public officials in local government from anyone who raises a hand against elected officials and public servants."
