IDF forces entered the village of Aqraba in the Samaria region earlier today (Sunday) in the early afternoon hours and arrested the father and brother of the terrorist who carried out the attack in Hawara a week ago, killing Shai and Aviad Nigarkar, z"l.
The terrorist himself - Osama Bni Fathel - has not yet been caught. However, in the meantime, security forces are attempting to exert pressure on him through messages conveyed by family members, arrests of his associates, and mapping out his residence in preparation for demolition.
As previously mentioned, about a week ago, the father and son arrived in the morning at the village of Hawara for errands. At 15:00, while they were washing their car at a car wash, an Arab terrorist identified them as Israelis, pulled out a gun, fired at both of them from a short range, and confirmed their deaths. On Saturday, there are fewer soldiers in the Hawara area, and the soldiers stationed at their posts did not hear the shots due to the noise from the car wash.
From the initial investigation conducted hours after the attack, it emerged that the terrorist arrived on foot at the location on a road that was not reinforced during the Sabbath. He entered the car wash facility, identified that they spoke Hebrew, and fired five shots at them from point-blank range.
The terrorist fled the scene, apparently heading towards the direction of Shechem (Nablus), and security forces initiated a pursuit. The handgun used by the terrorist was subsequently located.
