The spokesperson for the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Fadil Abdallah, explained on social media the next steps in the court proceedings following the issuance of arrest warrants. Fadil explained that "the arrest warrants can be canceled but only if Israel investigates the allegations itself and proves it before the court."

The International Criminal Court in The Hague issued a clarification regarding the criminal process in international law, and what the next steps are following the issuance of arrest warrants against Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Gallant.

The court spokesperson explained in response to questions that the court can indeed revoke the arrest warrants against Netanyahu, but only if Israel "investigates the allegations itself and proves it to the court."

The spokesperson explained that the state or the suspect can request that the proceedings against them be halted if there is evidence of parallel legal proceedings at the national level.

Therefore, the court is essentially demanding that the State of Israel put Gallant and Netanyahu on trial for war crimes, or prove that it is investigating these suspicions thoroughly, in which case it would be possible to request that the court consider halting the proceedings.
