Today (Tuesday), Danish police arrested a 21-year-old man in Copenhagen on suspicion of setting fire to a Jewish family’s home earlier this year.

The preliminary charges brought against him include violations of anti-terrorism laws, which carry a maximum penalty of life imprisonment. In Denmark, a life sentence typically equates to 16 years behind bars.

According to the charges, the suspect, whose name remains undisclosed, along with other accomplices, allegedly set fire to the family's porch furniture in May. The fire quickly spread, but firefighters were able to contain the flames before anyone was harmed.

Danish media reported that the accused has denied the charges through his attorney.
