EU spokesman Peter Stano said today (Monday) that the Union was aware of "credible information provided by allies" regarding the transfer of missiles from Iran to Russia, according to the AFP.

Stano further said that "We are looking further into it with our member states and if confirmed, this delivery would represent a substantive material escalation in Iran's support for Russia's illegal war of aggression against Ukraine."

Iran International reports that an Iranian lawmaker named Ahmad Bakhshaei Ardestani said that "We provide missiles to Hezbollah, Hamas, and Iraqi Hashd al-Shaabi, so why shouldn't we provide them to Russia?" According to Ardestani, the transfer of missiles is part of an effort to secure resources from Russia, including soy and wheat.
