U.S. set to bolster Ukraine’s arsenal with game-changing cruise missiles

The United States is close to an agreement with Ukraine on the supply of long-range cruise missiles that can reach deep into Russian territory, as reported by Reuters today (Tuesday).

However, the delivery of the missiles to Ukraine may take several months. The official announcement on the introduction of air-to-ground missiles into the weapons package is expected to be published this fall, but the US government has not yet made a final decision on the matter.

Sending the cruise missiles to Ukraine may significantly change the strategic situation in the war between the two countries, by placing powerful and accurate ammunition such as these missiles close to Russia. Ukraine's need for more weapons, and more powerful weapons, increases as it continues to face the intense pressure exerted on it by the Russian military along its eastern front.
