Gallant made a brave and clear message to Austin in their meeting: "It is time to fulfil US dedication to preventing Iranian nuclear weapons."

The Defence Minister of Israel met with the Defence Secretary of the US at the Pentagon, cautioning that the Middle East stands at a critical juncture.

Minister of Defence, Yoav Gallant was a guest of U.S. Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin at the Pentagon today (Tuesday). The Minister and Secretary made statements to the media at the start of their one-on-one meeting.

Gallant expressed before their encounter, "Secretary Austin, my friend, I am privileged to be present at the Pentagon."

"Mr. Secretary, you were the inaugural individual to fly to Israel in response to Hamas's violent assault on October 7th, arriving on October 13th. You were with us back then, and you're still with us now. The people of Israel will always remember this."

"Since the beginning, the President, the Administration, and yourself, Mr. Secretary, have all been by our side," Gallant added. This involves collaborating to protect Israel from a major assault orchestrated by Iran and its allies.

Today, we stand at a critical juncture that will have consequences for the whole of the Middle East. He stated that he was present to talk about how we can reach our joint objectives of safeguarding the security of Israel and highlighting the strong connections between our nations.

In Gaza, it is imperative that we strive to secure the release of all 120 hostages without any exceptions. We need to put an end to the Hamas terrorist regime. In the northern region, we are committed to ensuring safety by altering the current situation and ensuring the safe return of our communities.

"We are collaborating closely to reach a consensus, but we also need to address preparedness for all potential situations."

Gallant pointed out that Iran is the biggest danger to the future of the world. And time is moving quickly.

He stated that it is now the moment to fulfil the commitment made by American Administrations throughout the years - the pledge to stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

Primarily, we need to talk about our exceptional bonds: Collaborating to demonstrate strength; Addressing disagreements in a friendly manner; and remaining united against various attacks, whether military or diplomatic, on the international platform.

Both our allies and our foes are watching our moves, comprehending our strength. We have much to talk about. Gallant finished by expressing gratitude to the Secretary.
