Following the report according to which the legendary Prime Minister of England and the well-known European diplomat Tony Blair is heading a team dealing with the preparation of options for the voluntary evacuation of the residents of the Gaza Strip, a spokesman for him strongly denies this.

"The reports according to which Mr. Blair is involved in the 'voluntary evacuation' of Palestinians from Gaza are simply not true. There has been no discussion about this with Blair and if the issue comes up in front of him he will not even consider such a thing," it was said.

According to the published news, Blair arrived at a series of political and diplomatic meetings in Israel, among his meetings he also met with Prime Minister Netanyahu and Minister Benny Gantz. Blair is known as a leading diplomat in continental Europe and has strong ties with Israeli, Arab and European leaders. He will head a team that will hold contacts between all parties in preparation for the "day after" in the Gaza Strip.

Blair is expected to hold contacts with the countries of the world, with an emphasis on European countries and the moderate Arab countries and to examine all the alternatives for dealing with the Strip and its residents, with an emphasis on collecting resources and funds and holding contacts with many countries around the world in an attempt to allow the voluntary passage and absorption of the residents of the Strip in countries throughout Europe and the moderate Arab world.
