A Washington Post poll conducted in September 11-16 and released today (Thursday) shows Pennsylvania tied for both the presidential and senatorial races in head-to-head matchups, with a very slight advantage for the Democratic candidates for both.
In a full field, Kamala Harris edges out Donald Trump 47-46, with one point going to Jill Stein. In a head-to-head matchup, the two candidates are tied at 48-48.
The same is true of the Senate race: in a full field, incumbent Bob Casey edges out challenger Dave McCormick 47-46, with 2 preferring someone else. But in the head-to-head matchup, they are even at 48-48.
Pennsylvania is considered by both candidates to be a must-win swing state in order to win the necessary 270 electoral votes, and this poll suggests the result, either way, will be very, very close.
