ADL on Kanye West's Apology: Effort Welcome, But Actions Speak Louder Than Words

After Kanye West published an apology for the harm he caused in his many antisemitic statements in recent years, the ADL responded with a cautiously hopeful post on X/Twitter.

The ADL responded today (Tuesday) to Kanye West's Instagram postwith a cautious but hopeful statement on X/Twitter, saying that having caused untold damage with his hateful statements and actions against Jews, the Hebrew language apology may be the first step on the road to betterment.

However, "ultimately, actions will speak louder than words but this initial act of contrition is welcome."
