Another attack: The British Maritime Transport and Trade Organization reported today (Sunday) a suspected attack on a cargo ship in the near Yemen. In their message, they called on ships in the area to take extra care and report any suspicious incidents.

At the same time, the maritime security company "Embray" reported that the ship that was attacked was an oil tanker "linked to an Israeli company". According to reports, a suspicious vessel approached the tanker, and eight people "dressed in military uniform" boarded.

The company stated that the incident "is apparently related to political elements in Yemen". According to them, "the tanker, which belongs to a British company linked to Israel, was subject to the threats of the Houthi rebels supported by Iran." It was also reported that the US Navy in the Middle East is "aware of the incident."

This is the second time that an attack on a ship near Yemen has been reported, last week it was reported that the Houthi rebels took over an Israeli ship with 22 crew members on board. According to the report, the abduction took place north of Yemen in the Red Sea area a little south of the Egypt-Sudan border

Later it turned out that they were not Israeli crew members, but it was merely a partially Israeli-owned ship. The IDF spokesman said that the hijacking of the ship is "a very serious incident at the global level. This is a ship that left Turkey on its way to India with an international civilian crew, without Israelis. This is not an Israeli ship."
