Visas to the US

A Report: Biden will Ban Visas to the US for Extremist Settlers

In an article written by Biden, it was stated that the US would ban settlers who attacked Palestinians in Judea and Samaria from entering the United States. Biden also claimed that he warned Netanyahu of these consequences due to his lack of intervention in the matter.

American President Joe Biden announced last night (Saturday) that he is willing to impose sanctions banning entry into the United States on extremist settlers who are involved in attacks on Palestinians in Judea and Samaria. He wrote these things in an opinion article in the Washington Post.

This is the second time in a few days that the American administration has expressed a public protest regarding settler violence against Palestinians in Judea and Samaria, and after, according to senior American officials, Biden warned Prime Minister Netanyahu that the increase in tensions in Judea and Samaria could lead to an escalation that would make the crisis surrounding the war in Gaza much worse.

Indeed, in his article, Biden addressed the matter and said that he stressed to the Israeli leaders that the attacks by extremist settlers on Palestinians must stop, and that those who carry them out must be brought to justice. The president even hinted in the article that due to the fact that Israel is not taking sufficient steps, the United States must take its own steps.

In the same matter, a few weeks ago during the fighting, President Biden's national security advisor, Jake Sullivan, stated that "the violence of extremist settlers is unacceptable", and that the administration expects settlers who attack Palestinians to be prosecuted. He also added that Israel should do everything to distinguish between Hamas and innocents in Gaza.
