Qatar: Death Penalty to 8 Indians on Charges of Spying for Israel

The state that sponsors Hamas, Qatar, surprisingly imposed the death penalty on a group of foreign workers accused of being involved in espionage for the benefit of Israel.

Today, Qatar imposed the death penalty in an unusual verdict on a group of former Indian Navy personnel, accusing them of espionage for Israel.

Today, Qatar, the sponsor state of Hamas, imposed an extraordinary verdict on a group of foreign workers, Indian former naval personnel. The Qatari government and its lawsuit alleged that the group of foreign workers who arrived from India engaged in espionage for Israel within the territory of Qatar. As a result, the Qatari royal court imposed an extraordinary verdict and sentenced all eight Indian citizens to death.

Qatar claims that a group of ex-Navy personnel came to Qatar to spy on Qatari efforts to purchase advanced submarines, for the benfit of Israel, but has not publicly presented evidence of this. The Indian government reacted to the sentence with astonishment, and announced that such an execution of its citizens would have serious consequences.

In addition, the Indian government announced that it will act in any legal way in order to return its citizens safe and sound.
