At a meeting of his Knesset faction today (Monday), Yisrael Beytenu leader Avigdor Liberman laid out his view on what he thinks Israel should do in Syria in light of the recent escalation, according to Maariv.

At the meeting, Liberman said that the rotation of "Jihadists" getting to all sorts of places in Syria should greatly worry Israel, and it should take care to make sure they don't reach Israel's borders.

He then said "therefore we need to think about what we're doing. We need to first and foremost stop being viewers at the theater and take an active role," which he said involved supporting the Kurdish forces, which Israel must support morally and in terms of the Israeli interest."

Liberman also said that "we need to exploit all the ruckus in Syria. We must not continue to look at what's happening in the border triangle - Jordan, Syria, and Israel. We need to take an active part in arms, intelligence, and everything we can politically at the border triangle."
