The Lufthansa air group, which includes multiple airlines servicing many countries, said that it will not return to flying to and from Israel until the end of January 2025, according to Globes.
Many in Israel were hoping for an immediate return of airlines following the securing of a ceasefire in the north, which puts at least a temporary end to the danger of missiles and rockets hitting near Ben Gurion airport or planes flying to and from Israel.
Lufthansa group's delay in returning is considered by industry insiders to be a general barometer for the desire of airlines in general to return to the country, due to its greater risk assessment capabilities.
