Rabbi Ariel Barkai, the rosh yeshivah of Kiryat Shmonah's hesder yeshivah, released an impassioned plea today (Monday) to the residents of the frontline city to return home following the ceasefire and help rebuild after a year of war and displacement, according to a report by Ynet.

In his statement, Rabbi Barkai said that "we face decisive moments for the future of the north. We were willing to leave for a time to let the army do what it can, but we never thought of leaving this region of the country. Obviously, on a personal level, reality is not simple and every family will make its own choices, but the general spirit needs to be positive, good and believing from now on."
