Houthi leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said in a speech that the Houthis intend to continue attacking Israel out of solidarity with the people of Gaza, according to Kann 11 reporter Roi Kais.

This statement comes in contrast to Hezbollah, Iran's most powerful proxy army, which delinked between its conflict with Israel and the conflict with Hamas, after months of insisting there would be no end to the fighting in the north until fighting was ended in the south.

The Houthis have been the subject of multiple air strikes by both Israel and the US-led coalition in the Red Sea, but have nevertheless managed to maintain a siege against any shipping even loosely affiliated with Israel, the United States, or the United Kingdom.
