The great fear of the residents of the north with the end of the war in Lebanon is to become "residents of the Lebanon envelope."

Althogh they suffered for years from Katyusha fire from terrorist organizations, they have enjoyed relative calm over the past 20 years. But they have seen their brethren residents of the Gaza envelope slowly get used to the rocket fire and the endless rounds of battle that ended in the terrible tragedy of October 7.

In the south, it seems that the political echelon has woken up and understood that the only way to change the reality of the region is by having a military presence in the Gaza Strip and the creation of a buffer zone between the Arab villages and the settlements.

In Lebanon the situation is the opposite. The new agreement includes the return of the residents to the villages of southern Lebanon and a promise of an Israeli withdrawal from the area. "The residents of the north will become residents of the Lebanon envelope, just like the residents of the Gaza envelope, in the next 20 years," said Channel 14's military analyst Noam Amir after hearing the messages coming from Israel and the words of American mediator Amos Hochstein after the agreement was approved.

According to him, Israel has no intention of returning to war at any stage, but only "for a few days of battle," just like what occurred in the south.
