IDF Arabic Spokesperson Avichai Adraee addressed the residents of Lebanon this morning (Thursday) and made it clear to them that they are forbidden to reach the southern village line and that anyone who reaches the area is exposed to immediate danger.
In a statement issued by Adraee, which is intended for the Lebanese, it was written: "An urgent message to the residents of Lebanon, until further notice, you are prohibited from moving south to the line of the following villages and their environs, as well as within the villages themselves: Shebaa, al-Havriya, Marjiyun, Arnon, Yakhmar, al-Qantara, Shaqra, Beresheet, Yatar, al-Mansouri. The IDF does not intend to direct you, so at this stage you are prohibited from returning to your homes from this line to the south until further notice. Anyone who moves south of this line exposes himself to danger."
Ceasefireht, as soon as the ceasefire agreement came into effect, the residents of a number of villages near the border with Israel returned to their homes, despite Edrei's announcement that they would not return to their homes at this stage. Many Lebanese residents returned to the cities and villages that were evacuated in southern Lebanon to document the destruction and damage caused by the war.
