WATCH: After surviving the Majdal Shams attack, this young Druze hero is finally going home

When Hezbollah aimed their rockets at the Druze town of Majdal Shams, they knew exactly who they wanted to kill: Young Israeli-Druze kids whose only crime was playing soccer on a Saturday afternoon. Thankfully, little Alan survived the attack and is thriving after a lengthy rehabilitation.

Ichilov Hospital bade a fond farewell to Alan, who was seriously injured when HezbollahChildrened 12 Druze children who were playing soccer on a beautiful Shabbat afternoon.

In a moving post Instagram post, they said: "Alan, our brave hero who was severely injured in the soccer field accident at Majdal Shams, was discharged today from Dana-Dwek Children's Hospital after a series of surgeries and lengthy rehabilitation. He's now standing on his own two feet and nearly ready to return to the playing field.

Alan and his amazing family touched all of our hearts. He courageously faced a severe and complex injury, proving to us that with strong willpower and a little faith, anything is possible.

Alan, our dear boy, we will always love you and already miss you!"
