A shameless Israeli ploy?

"We won't cave": Hamas lashes out as Qatar threatens expulsion

Hamas is fuming over Qatar's apparent decision to kick its leadership out of their cushy Doha headquarters, dismissing the move as an Israeli trick to force their hand on hostage negotiations.

"This is nothing but a shameless Israeli ploy," a senior Hamas official told Al-Sharq Al-Akhbar. The terror group claims they haven't received any official word from Qatar about leaving, suggesting the leaked reports are just pressure tactics.

The timing is telling. With Trump potentially weeks away from returning to the White House, Biden's team is scrambling to secure a hostage deal. Qatar, which helped broker the release of nearly 200 hostages last year, finds itself caught between American demands and its long-standing Hamas ties.

"Qatar's been crucial in negotiations," one Hamas source admitted, hinting at concerns about losing their primary diplomatic channel. But they're standing firm: "If they think this will make us accept Israel's terms, they're mistaken."
