The fighter Guy Shabtai, who was injured in Lebanon about two weeks ago in a battle against terrorists, passed away this morning from his wounds. Thus, the number of casualties in the incident rose to six. Shabtai, 40 years old from Jerusalem, was a teacher at Yeshivat Horev.

His acquaintances say: "He was a teacher of English and Mathematics. Genius and dedicated. A revered and beloved teacher. Outstanding athlete."

In a statement from his family, it was written: "With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Hezekiah Guy Shabtai, may his memory be blessed, after he was injured in a battle in Lebanon about two weeks ago and was called to the heavenly yeshiva this morning. An announcement regarding the date of the funeral will be published, which will likely take place in the morning at Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. Rejoice, O nations, with His people, for He will avenge the blood of His servants and return vengeance to His adversaries, and He will atone for His land, His people."
