Israel-Hezbollah War

Chief of Staff: Hezbollah is in trouble - we need to increase it

Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi said that Hezbollah is trying to hide its losses to conceal its situation. Hezbollah has not officially published the names of its dead, outside of senior leaders, since the IDF ground operation started.

At a situational assessment conducted this evening (Tuesday), IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi said that "Hezbollah is hiding its dead. This attests to it being in distress - and we need to increase it."

Halevi also said that Hezbollah was "imagining" much higher losses on the Israeli side. According to Halevi, this was a "gap" attesting to the organization being in a difficult situation.

He said this means the IDF needs to continue to protect its own people, kill more Hezbollah activists, and apply more pressure.

Hezbollah has indeed ceased to publish most of its dead through official channels, outside of senior leaders, ever since the IDF began its ground invasion across the border. However, invitations to funerals for families and friends published on social media suggest Hezbollah is suffering much worse losses than officially admitted.
