Heightened security in Hadera after stabbing attack

Security forces deployed across the city as officials tighten protection at educational institutions.

After the stabbing attack that took place yesterday (Wednesday) in Hadera, on Thursday morning the municipality announced increased security throughout the city, especially near educational institutions and gathering areas. Six people were wounded in the attack, one of whom is still in critical condition.

It was decided to reinforce supervision patrols and station a new guard on the streets of the city, with an emphasis on educational institutions, construction areas and gathering areas. As part of this, the security guards of educational institutions have reviewe the necessary procedures and the inspection teams will conduct searches and inspections.

In addition to the supervision teams, the police alert squad, Border Police teams and the Israel Police will also operate in the council sector. It is important to mention that there are currently no warnings or special alerts.

Six people were injured yesterday in a stabbing attack that took place at several different locations throughout Hadera, including two men aged 30 and 50 in critical condition, another man in serious condition and three others in moderate condition. The terrorist was neutralized.
