IDF discovers Hezbollah tunnel into Israel

While Israel has discovered tunnels close to Israel to serve as staging areas for Hezbollah forces, this is one of the first tunnels discovered which actually enters Israel.

The IDF just released a troubling fact for publication today (Tuesday): a tunnel from Lebanon into Israel from the area of Marwahin was discovered.

The tunnel, which was discovered a few months ago, was kept secret until the IDF could enter and maneuver at the ground level, as it was reportedly booby-trapped. It was also reportedly under complete operational control from the moment of discovery.

While other tunnels have been discovered close to the border, meant to serve as staging areas for Radwan forces before invading Israel, this is one of two tunnels the IDF has admitted which actually cross over into Israeli territory. The other, in Kafr Kila, was blocked.

The IDF said that it does not currently know of any more such tunnels crossing the border from Lebanon into Israel.

This is really scary. Thankfully, they didn't attack on October 7th. I can't even imagine what might have been.
