Stay off the beach! IDF warns Lebanese away from Lebanese shores near battleground

In a sign of expanding IDF activity, including possible naval activity, the IDF is now warning all Lebanese to stay away from shores and beaches near southern Lebanon.

The IDF Spokesperson in Arabic just posted a warning today (Monday) on X informing all Lebanese who visit the shores or use boats in the area of southern Lebanon to avoid doing so.

In his post, the Spokesperson said that Lebanese vacationers and boat owners should avoid going near the shore or sea area south of the Awali river, which itself lies to the north of the Litani river delineating southern Lebanon from the rest of the country.

While he did not specify the sort of activity involved, the IDF may be trying to prevent naval reinforcement of Hezbollah with arms and manpower and perhaps also trying to launch raids against Hezbollah-held territory from the sea.
