"The situation is catastrophic": A Lebanese governor takes stock after Israeli air strikes

The Lebanese governor of the Baalbek-Hermel area in Lebanon said that the IDF had "erased entire neighborhoods" with its intensive air strikes.

The Lebanese governor of Baalbek-Hermel, one of the most heavily targeted areas by the IDF in the last few weeks, said today (Tuesday) that the Israeli strikes have erased entire neighborhoods.

The governor further said that "we didn't even see things like this in 2006," during the Second Lebanon War, and that "the situation is catastrophic."

During his briefing today, IDF Spokesperson Daniel Hagari provided further backing for the claim that Hezbollah was planning a "northern October 7" in which the terrorists would murder and kidnap Israeli civilians and soldiers.

The first piece of evidence was large scale tunnels chock-full of weapons and rest and assembly rooms in villages near the border, where Hezbollah terrorists and especially elite Radwan forces were to gather and prepare before invading Israel.

According to Hagari, the tunnels located did not enter into Israeli territory but were instead meant to ensure that the large forces assembling could do so in secret.

The second piece of evidence Hagari produced was a captured map (above) showing identified IDF outposts, Israeli civilian areas, and access roads to be targeted in a ground operation. The map is called "Radwan force operations," and as Radwan is a ground and not a rocket force, this means the targets were to be invaded in that manner.
