Hezbollah, Terrorism, Unit 910

Hezbollah’s global hit squad: Unit 910 poised to attack Israeli and Jewish targets worldwide

Security experts sound the alarm on sleeper agents capable of launching coordinated strikes far beyond the Middle East.

Following the assassination of Hassan Nasrallah, Hezbollah’s Unit 910 has emerged as an immediate threat to Israeli and Jewish interests worldwide, the Alma Research Center warned on Saturday.

Known as the "Black Unit" or "Shadow Unit," Unit 910 has previously operated across the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia, capable of launching significant retaliatory attacks with minimal preparation. Around 32 years ago, after the assassination of former Hezbollah leader Abbas al-Musawi, Unit 910 successfully executed multiple retaliatory operations.

Hezbollah’s Unit 910, considered one of the organization’s most secretive and dangerous branches, is under the command of Talal Hamiyah, also known as "Abu Jaafar." Tasked with global terror activities beyond Lebanon, the unit is closely aligned with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). According to researcher Tal Barry, Unit 910 serves as Hezbollah’s primary operational arm for conducting international attacks.

"The unit operates in a wide range of regions, maintaining pre-prepared terror infrastructures ready for immediate action," Barry explained. It has been involved in several high-profile attacks, including the bombing of the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires in 1992, the Jewish community center in Argentina in 1994, and a 2012 suicide bombing targeting a bus of Israeli tourists in Burgas, Bulgaria.

The unit has maintained its strict operational secrecy by relying on local Shiite networks and criminal organizations worldwide. Its operatives, who undergo intensive security training and often hold foreign citizenships, operate under civilian cover, leveraging connections with Hezbollah supporters and foreign governments for logistical support and planning.
