Hezbollah attacks Northern Israel with 115 rockets, sparking fires and causing shrapnel injuries

The IDF has launched a series of strikes against Hezbollah targets in Lebanon following a major attack on northern Israel. This escalation comes after Hezbollah fired approximately 115 projectiles at civilian areas in northern Israel over the past few hours.

Fire

At 4:48 AM and 5:10 AM, about 20 rockets were launched from Lebanon towards the Jezreel Valley. Most were intercepted, with the remainder landing in open areas without causing injuries.

Between 6:24 AM and 7:00 AM, sirens blared across Northern Israel after 85 rockets entered Israeli airspace from Lebanon. Sirens were heard in areas that were previously out of Hezbollah's firing range, including Haifa, Afula, and the Krayot (suburbs north of Haifa).

Some rockets were intercepted, while others landed in areas including Kiryat Bialik, Tzur Shalom, and Moreshet, sparking fires that emergency services are currently battling.

Sirens in the Arava area warned of a suspicious aerial target approaching from the east. The object was intercepted before entering Israeli airspace, with no reported injuries.

The Magen David Adom ambulance service says three people are wounded by shrapnel following a rocket impact in Kiryat Bialik, near Haifa.

The victims include a man in his 70s in moderate condition, and another man in his 70s and a 16-year-old girl who are lightly hurt. They are being taken to Rambam Hospital in Haifa.

MDA also responded to a 60-year-old man lightly injured by debris from an interception near the Lower Galilee. Victims have been transported to hospitals in Afula and Nazareth.

MDA remains on high alert and urges the public to call their emergency hotline for any medical needs and to consider donating blood.

Authorities have advised residents in affected areas to stay close to shelters and follow all safety instructions.

In response to the rocket fire, the Home Front Command announced that there will be no classes in all areas from Haifa northward. This decision contradicts the original instructions given last night, which allowed classes to take place in locations where it was possible to reach a protected space in time.
