Hamas just released a statement today (Sunday) praising the "heroic stabbing" attack against a Border Guard in the area of Nablus Gate at the Old City of Jerusalem.

Hamas called the stabbing attack "heroic," saying it was a "natural response to the ongoing crimes of the occupation against our people in Gaza and the West Bank, and the violations and escalating threats against the blessed al-Aqsa and occupied Jerusalem, in the shadows of the fascistic plans, which the Zionist extremists' government aims to implement, including what Minister Ben Gvir revealed of his intention to build a synagogue within the al-Aqsa mosque."

A short time ago, a report came in of a Border Guard officer who was stabbed near Nablus Gate in Jerusalem, according to the Israel Police.

The terrorist tried to escape into the Old City but was neutralized by Border Guard forces.

The wounded officer is lightly injured and conscious and is being medically treated.
