The IDF has completed an initial inquiry into the death of Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, an ISM activist protesting Israel in Judea and Samaria, concluding that Eygi was with a "high probability" killed "indirect and unintended IDF fire, which was aimed at a main instigator," according to the Times of Israel.

The Investigative Military Police have also opened their own investigation into the matter, and the IDF has also requested to be able to do its own autopsy on Eygi.

The IDF also expressed its regrets regarding the activist's death.

Meanwhile, the IDF announced a short time ago (Monday) that large IDF, Border Guard, and Shin Bet forces were entering the city of Tulkarm, with the aim of rooting out "terrorist infrastructures."

This operation follows an almost two week long operation in Jenin which eliminated multiple terrorists and seized and destroyed multiple weapons and explosive devices.
