First Strike on Mount Hermon: "A bad Feeling"

One of the seven recent rockets fired at the north struck Mount Hermon, causing minor damage to property. The Mount Hermon site has been closed to visitors for nearly a year on military orders

The site's director reported: "We are facing employee difficulties, enduring barrages from Lebanon, and an ongoing harsh reality." Following the alerts in the north, Hezbollah fired 5 rockets at Shlomi and 2 rockets at Kiryat Shmona. A subsequent impact was detected at the Mount Hermon site, causing minor damage to property.

In a statement from Mount Hermon, it was announced: "The Mount Hermon site has been closed since October 7 and is designated as a closed military area."

Rafael Naveh, CEO of the Mount Hermon site, said: "We have been dealing with a tough situation for eleven months, seeing the site closed, struggling with the difficulties of employees who are at home without leave, and enduring barrages from Lebanon. This is a harsh reality that has dragged on for too long."

Doron Kadosh reports that Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for 6 attacks on Israeli territory today, including the drone attack that hit a residential building in Nahariya. Today, Hezbollah again claims it targets military objectives— in the case of the drone attack in Nahariya, it alleges it aimed to strike the Golani Brigade headquarters at Camp Sharaga, north of Acre. The residential building in Nahariya apparently "got in the way" of that target.

Mount Hermon, closed to visitors by military order, has been shut for nearly a year. Throughout the year, expenses have continued, and the site has not received adequate compensation from the state.
