Al Qadi, Hostages

Ex-IDF intel Chief: Rescued hostage Al Qadi claims he wasn't with the other murdered hostages– He is LYING!

This isn't just about one man's story. It's also the story of families desperate for any scrap of information about their loved ones' final days. And it's putting a spotlight on the murky world of hostage debriefings.

A former Israeli intelligence chief has cast doubt on the testimony of recently released captive Farhan al-Qadi. The controversy centers on al-Qadi's claim that he was not held with six Israeli hostages who were later found dead.

Colonel (res.) Ronen Cohen was once the head of the terrorism division in Israeli intelligence. In a recent interview on Channel 14, he said, "Based on my experience with Hamas and the logistics of their tunnel system, I find it hard to believe al-Qadi's version of events."

Cohen strongly suspects that al-Qadi shared space with the 6 Israeli hostages, recently executed by Hamas, for an extended period.

Cohen has proposed a solution which includes a thorough investigation, even possibly including a polygraph test, claiming "If he's withholding information, we need to understand why."

The bodies of Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Eden Yerushalmi, Ori Danino, Alex Lobanov, Carmel Gat, Almog Sarusi were discovered in Gaza tunnel, and all of them had multiple gunshot wounds and signs of severe neglect on their bodies.

Yesterday, heart rending funerals for some of the hostages took place: Hersch Goldberg-Polin was buried in Har Mamenuchot in Jerusalem. Carmel Gat was laid to rest in Beeri, where she was born and also where she was taken captive.
