The police arrested 43 illegal residents yesterday as part of a targeted police activity by Tel Aviv police officers and the canine unit. According to the police announcement, police officers of the Tel Aviv District Police in cooperation with the canine unit carried out increased activity yesterday in businesses, apartments for renovation and construction sites , in which there is a fear of employing, transporting or detaining illegal residents, in order to strengthen the security and well-being of the public, especially against the background of the threats of the period in which the country is facing.

As part of an enforcement activity carried out by the police in the cities of Tel Aviv, Holon, Bat Yam and Givatayim, the police detained for questioning 43 residents of the territories, without residence permits, 5 employers and 2 Sheva drivers.

The police point out that contractors and citizens who employ residents of territories without residence and work permits endanger both themselves and the entire Israeli public, both in terms of security and criminality.
