In response to rumours circulating in recent hours about a rescue operation and the possibility of "good news" from the Gaza Strip, the IDF spokesperson has issued a denial and urged the public to avoid spreading false rumours. "Recent rumours about hostages are not true," the spokesperson stated, advising the public to "listen only to official statements from credible sources and refrain from spreading false rumours that harm families and the public."

Meanwhile, IDF fighter jets recently targeted, with precision and under intelligence guidance from the Intelligence Directorate (AMAN), the Shin Bet, and the Southern Command, Hamas terrorists operating in a command and control facility in the area previously known as the "Salah al-Din" school in Gaza City. This facility was used by Hamas operatives to plan and execute terrorist attacks against IDF forces and the State of Israel.

Prior to the attack, extensive measures were taken to minimize the risk to civilians, including the use of precision munitions, aerial reconnaissance, and additional intelligence information.
