Approximately three months after the crash of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi's plane, the circumstances of the crash and his death are being revealed. According to the report by the Iranian news agency Fars, the investigation's findings show that the helicopter crashed due to weather conditions and the inability to manage the weight it was carrying.

As a reminder, the crash occurred last May, killing all nine people on the helicopter besides the president – including Foreign Minister Abdollahian, military personnel, the governor of East Azerbaijan Province, an imam, and the pilot crew.

The process of reaching the wreckage and identifying the bodies took a long time due to the severe weather conditions in the country. It was only after about 16 hours that the remains were located, and the Iranian government issued an official statement regarding the deaths of those on the helicopter. In the early days, there was speculation that the crash might have been an assassination carried out by Israel, but this theory was quickly ruled out.
