Yesterday (Tuesday), the Israel Defense Forces announced that the military prosecution requested an extension of the suspects' house arrest until next Thursday to complete the investigation. During this period, with the defence's consent, the suspects will undergo a detention report and will gradually receive investigative materials. Once the investigation is complete, the defence will have the opportunity to request a hearing if desired.
Retired Lieutenant Colonel Avi Amiram and Captain Lior Porat, representing one of the suspects through the military defence, have been negotiating with the military prosecution regarding the release of all suspects (with the consent of their legal representatives), due to the anticipated prolonged investigation. The prosecution intends to file an indictment at the conclusion of the investigations, subject to a hearing.
