Gallant in the North: "We Are Monitoring Developments in Tehran and Beirut"

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant visited one of the intelligence bases in northern Israel today (Tuesday). During his visit, he received a briefing on the intelligence operations that led to the elimination of Hezbollah's Chief of Staff, Imad Mughniyeh, and discussed efforts to neutralize threats and thwart Hezbollah operatives across Lebanon.

Following this, Gallant met with Major General Uri Gordin, Commander of the Northern Command, to discuss the high state of readiness and preparedness across all command branches.

"I am concluding a visit to one of the intelligence bases in the north. From this location, the elimination of Hezbollah's Chief of Staff Mughniyeh was carried out. The people here work very seriously and are engaged in preparations for any potential developments," Gallant stated in the north. "We are addressing both the neutralization of threats and preparing all options to be able to strike wherever we decide. We are determined to accomplish our mission: we need to ensure that the residents can return safely to their homes after we force Hezbollah to withdraw north of the Litani River."

Gallant concluded: "I am aware of the tension and the heavy burden on Israeli citizens. We are monitoring developments—both in Beirut, Tehran, and other locations. Thanks to the people stationed here and in many places throughout the country—at sea, on land, and in the air—Israeli citizens can maintain their daily lives while staying alert, vigilant, and ready to follow Home Front Command instructions."
