In response to a call from international mediators, Israel has announced it will dispatch a negotiation team on August 15 to discuss a potential hostage deal with Hamas.

This development comes after the leaders of the United States, Qatar, and Egypt jointly urged for renewed talks and proposed a summit next Thursday.

The Prime Minister's Office stated that the Israeli delegation will travel to a yet-to-be-determined location to finalize details for implementing a framework agreement. This move follows a declaration from the mediating countries, which emphasized the urgency of reaching a ceasefire in Gaza and securing the release of hostages.

"We have worked for months to create a basis for an agreement, and it is now on the table with only implementation details missing," the mediators' statement read. They expressed readiness to present a final proposal addressing remaining issues and called on both parties to resume negotiations in either Doha or Cairo.

The Hostages' Families Headquarters welcomed the mediators' efforts, thanking U.S. President Joe Biden, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, and Qatar's Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani for their commitment.

The group urged the Israeli government to "show leadership" and complete the necessary steps to implement the deal, which aims to return all hostages - "the living for rehabilitation, and the murdered and fallen for proper burial in their country."

As the conflict approaches its 310th day, the fate of 115 hostages held by Hamas remains a critical issue in the ongoing crisis.
