Israeli athlete Tom Reuveny achieved a historic victory by winning the gold medal in Men's Windsurfing at the Paris Olympics on Saturday. This landmark win not only represents Israel's first gold in this event but also stands as the country's fourth gold medal in Olympic history.

At just 24 years old, Reuveny secured his place in history two decades after his coach, Gal Friedman, achieved the same feat in Athens. "I always believed in him," Friedman told Israeli media. "I had a good feeling even before the competition. I told him all week that he had what it takes; it's not about gifts but about seizing the moment. We handled the pressure well, unlike some of our competitors."

Earlier in the day, 21-year-old Sharon Kantor earned the silver medal in Sailing, and gymnast Artem Dolgopyat clinched another silver in Gymnastics. Dolgopyat's score of 14.966 fell just short of Filipino competitor Carlos Edriel Yulo's 15. This marks Dolgopyat's second Olympic medal.

With a total of six medals in this year's competition, Israel has achieved its best Olympic record to date, bringing its overall tally to 19 medals.
