It was released for publication this evening (Tuesday) that Nir Popko, 28, is the victim of the rocket fire launched by Hezbollah at Kibbutz HaGoshrim.

Nir was killed by a direct hit from a rocket in the yard of a house in Kibbutz HaGoshrim in the Galilee. The IDF stated that about ten rockets were detected crossing from Lebanese territory, with most of the rockets intercepted. However, a rocket landed in the HaGoshrim area, and a report was received of a civilian being injured. The IDF responded with artillery fire targeting the sources of the rocket launches.

MDA teams that arrived at the scene, including paramedic Yuval Levy and MDA medics Noam Wolf and Nadav Oren, described: "Immediately after the alarms, we received a report of an injury and went to the location. It was a very severe incident. We arrived at the scene and saw a man in his 30s with shrapnel wounds to his upper body lying on the path. He was unconscious, and we immediately began providing medical treatment and performing resuscitation, but we eventually had to declare him dead."
