According to Channel 12 News, an Air Force officer acknowledged that the surge of army refusals influenced by leftist groups harmed the Air Force's efficiency and contributed to the lack of response on October 7th, marking the first time this has been admitted since that day.

As per the report, Lt. Col. Yaniv Even, the commander of the Air and Flight Control School, announced this week that numerous reservists in critical roles in the Air Force were inadequately trained on October 7th.

"At a technology conference in Holon, Even mentioned that once a period of time goes by, you understand that the training must occur rapidly." Following October 7th, we began instructing a concept that was previously unfamiliar to us - competency. Until that time, we only conducted training. We educated an individual unfamiliar with the trade. During the social protests, we had a significant number of reservists who were not suitable for the task. And we had to rapidly create a training package for them, utilizing the expertise gained in the war, and place them in succession.

Even went on to say that "failure is the beginning of the learning process. We failed completely as a military."

Amit Segal, a journalist from Channel 12, disclosed Even's comments and mentioned that the Palmachim Air Force base commander acknowledged early in the war that some pilots showed reduced abilities on October 7th, despite the IDF's denial.
