The IDF has located a number of tunnels in the Shejaiya area, including two close to the border, according to Army Radio reporter Doron Kadosh.

The IDF operation in Shejaiya is aimed in part at destroying tunnels that were missed the first time around.

Among the tunnels that have been destroyed was Palestinian Islamic Jihad's "flagship tunnel" which contained computers and weapons and which stretches for 2.5 kilometers.
