A 55-year-old man drowned today (Sunday) near Metzitzim Beach in Tel Aviv. The man was found near the shore unconscious, and rescue forces called to the beach were forced to declare his death at the scene after resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful.

Emergency medical responder from Magen David Adom, Neria Ben Moshe, recounted: "When we arrived at the scene, we found the man lying near the shoreline unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing. Rescuers told us they had pulled him from the water and immediately began providing initial medical treatment. We continued medical treatment, including chest compressions and administering medications, but unfortunately, we had to declare his death."
